Underground property clause

Notwithstanding the exclusion 4 of Section 8.2 - Property not covered - of the Property Damage Coverage Section 8, this policy is extended to cover subject to all the terms and conditions provided therein (including losses, damage or destruction caused by the use of explosives) the underground mines / property exposures as defined under the sub-limit section of this policy.  Underground exposure shall mean insured property beyond the entrance structure at ground level of the shaft.

The Insurer shall not be liable for any loss, damage, destruction or expenses including clearance cost of any kind in excess of the sub-limit as defined in the sub-limit section of this policy.

This extension does not increase any amounts or limits of insurance provided by this policy.

Clearance cost are the cost of removing debris either above or below the ground which prevents ingress to or egress from or access through the mining system that contains the insured property.
